How can I tell the age of an Aire-Flo air conditioner from the serial number?

Saturday, June 23, 2018

You can find the model and serial numbers (M/N and S/N) for your furnace by removing the top-front service panel and looking to the left side of the interior cabinet or the top of the blower deck, depending on whether your system is an 80% or 90% AFUE unit.

The second two numbers in the serial number are the year of manufacture. So the Aire-Flo data plate shown below indicates the unit was manufactured in 2014. Aire-Flo heat pump and air conditioning condensers are manufactured by Lennox specifically as replacements for R-22 refrigerant systems, and they are shipped charged with nitrogen.

  • . The manufacturer is Aire-Flo. The Model Number is AFAIR10B42-A. The Serial Number is 4603A13621. In this example, the date of manufacture is coded into the serial number in the third and fourth digits – 03. This indicates that this unit was manufactured in 2003 and is approximately two (2) years old. The method used to indicate.
